In his debut novel, Ocular Proof, John Delacourt balances two narratives set in two different centuries, one in the 20th and one in the 15th. Written partly in prose and partly in sonnets, it is a compelling reflection on such concepts as the effect of technology on human consciousness, what is real vs what is fake, and the force of history on society.
